Abstract |
The plume images of the Nuri-ho were acquired using FLIR A6751 (MWIR) and A6751 SLS (LWIR) camera. In order to extract radiant intensity data of a target from the acquired IR images, radiometric calibration experiments were performed in a laboratory. The camera and blackbody radiator were installed as close as possible, in order to obtain accurate radiometric values by minimizing the atmospheric transmission estimation errors. Through these experiments, blackbody temperatures corresponding to the digital output values of the images were obtained by applying the atmospheric effects. The radiant intensity data of the target were calculated using the radiometric calibration data and were derived based on the number of pixels outputting values within 30% of the maximum digital number in an image. The estimated radiance values of the target were 4.49 × 106 W/sr at 4.0㎛ (standard uncertainty of 0.22 × 106W/sr) and 4.70 × 106W/sr at 10㎛ (standard uncertainty of 0.21 × 106W/sr). |
