The Korean Journal of Construction Engineering and Management (KJCEM), published by the Korean Institute of Construction Engineering and Management (KICEM), promotes research and innovation in construction engineering and management. The journal welcomes contributions from both Korean and international authors on topics ranging from project management strategies, contract and tender systems, and organizational structures to cutting-edge application tools such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital twins, robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and sustainable construction practices. By addressing challenges in Korea and the global AECO industry, KJCEM serves as a platform for advancing knowledge that supports efficient, resilient, and sustainable project delivery.
KJCEM was first launched in March 2000 and is published bimonthly. Approximately 300 printed copies of each issue are distributed to academia, industry, and government-related institutions. Full-text articles are available to members of the Korea Institute of Construction Engineering and Management (KICEM) at https://www.kjcem.org and through the following sites: KCI, KoreaScience, and AURIC.
All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure scholarly quality, originality, and relevance. An Article Processing Charge (APC) of 150,000 KRW applies upon submission, with an additional charge of 50,000 KRW per two extra pages (up to a maximum of 12 pages; longer manuscripts are not accepted). Since January 2006, KJCEM has been indexed and supported by the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Korea.
