Abstract This study was conducted to analyze the degree and characteristics of the improvement of the safety management level of mid-sized construction companies by identifying the current safety management level for domestic mid-sized construction companies and comparing it with the past safety management level. As a result of the study, the current safety management level of domestic mid-sized construction companies by group has improved more than in the past, compared to group 2 and group 1. The current level of safety management is relatively good, with the first and second groups almost similar, and the level of safety management at the headquarters and the site is also similar. Each group of mid-sized construction companies in Korea analyzed measures to improve the safety management level, and proposed measures to improve the safety management level of mid-sized construction companies in Korea.
