Abstract |
This study proposes an online DC-link capacitance estimation method for battery-powered drive systems. The method exploits the sixth-harmonic components generated by spatial harmonics and control actions to evaluate the capacitor power from the difference between input and output power, enabling accurate capacitance estimation. The recursive least squares algorithm is employed to address errors caused by inevitable noise in measurement signals , thereby improving robustness and convergence. The proposed approach is validated through simulations and experiments, and it demonstrates reliable and consistent performance under various operating conditions. These results confirm that the method is effective for real-time monitoring and can be applied to enhance system reliability in power electronic drive applications. |
