| Abstract |
This study proposes a multi-phase wireless charging pad design for electric vehicles targeted at high-efficiency and large-capacity wireless charging systems. Initially, finite element method simulations are performed on the proposed pad model to derive the main parameters under various misalignment conditions. Based on the obtained parameters, the characteristics according to the shape and size of the pad are compared and analyzed to select an optimal wireless charging pad model that meets efficiency and safety requirements. Subsequently, the advantages of the proposed pad are validated by comparing its main characteristics with the previous works of multi-phase wireless charging pads. Finally, the selected pad model is manufactured, and performance verification is conducted by measuring the coupling coefficient under misalignment conditions. |
