| Abstract |
Finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) has received considerable attention recently because of its powerful advantages of nonlinear control, simplicity of use, and fast response. Nonetheless, FCS-MPC is sensitive to parameter mismatch, which can degrade the performance of FCS-MPC, especially in motor drives. Model-free predictive control (MFPC) with an extended state observer (ESO) is a good strategy when motor parameter mismatch is expected because of the property of ultra local model, which requires only input and output of the system, not system parameters. This paper presents the FCS-MFPC scheme for the current controller of an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor drive. To find out the robustness of the FCS-MFPC, the performance of the FCS-MFPC was experimentally compared with that of the FCS-MPC under identical input scaling condition. |
